Are Hurricanes / Thunderstorms alive?
Hi folks, It would seem to me that hurricanes and even thunderstorms fit at least _some_ definitions of life. (1) While they form / sputter-out (die), they are self-perpetuating for a time in between feeding from their surroundings. (2) More interestingly, at least hurricanes (and possibly thunderstorms) drive toward "negative entropy." That is, a hurricane... more »
